Style: Medium Knotless Box Braids with Neat Parting
Today’s braid session at Dora Hair Braiding in Madison, WI was extra special—and not just because of the flawless style. Our amazing client found us through a Snapchat post and made the trip from 2 hours away just to get her hair done by us. That kind of love and trust means everything, and we knew we had to deliver a style worthy of that drive!
She chose a classic and elegant look—*medium-sized knotless box braids—and to make the process faster without sacrificing quality, *two braiders worked together on her hair. That tag-team energy helped us finish efficiently while keeping our usual standard of neatness and care.
The finished look? Absolutely stunning.
The braids flowed down to mid-back, with a smooth, lightweight finish that allowed them to fall naturally. Although we used *black extensions (color 1B), something magical happened during the photo and video session—our *ring light gave the braids a beautiful burgundy glow, making them look like they matched her outfit perfectly. It was such a unique effect that really brought the whole look together!
She wore a rich burgundy sweater layered over a deeper shirt—simple, warm, and stylish. The lighting effect made the entire look feel coordinated, even though it wasn’t planned. You’d think the burgundy glow on the braids was intentional!
From the top views to the back shots, the parting was clean and symmetrical, with a soft golden brown highlight in the front for just a pop of brightness and depth. You could see the care and detail in every section.
What truly made this session memorable was the energy she brought—sweet, patient, and full of gratitude. Seeing her reaction after the final look made the whole experience even more meaningful. It’s always special when someone travels from far away for your work, and we’re proud to say she left with a smile.
